Villa Sassefras was & dry advice.
One fabric is easier to maintain than the other. In principle, we therefore say; Wash your garment as little as possible, but hang it outside to air. If you do want to wash it, wash it at temperatures of up to 30 degrees Celsius and do not put the fabric in the dryer. Half a cup of natural vinegar in the wash is also a desirable addition and good for preserving the color. Be careful with centrifuging at high speeds, not centrifuging is actually better. Below you will find advice for the most common fabric fibers:
Cotton
Cotton is strong & durable. Cotton is a widely used plant fiber. We only sell the highest quality and where possible organic & GOTS certified. Cotton is a strong and more durable fabric because it lasts a long time if you take care of it properly.
Washing and drying
Cotton is a shrink-sensitive fabric that absorbs a lot of moisture. Wash it at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius and do not put it in the dryer. If you wash cotton a lot, the color can become dull over time. Therefore, use half a cup of natural vinegar when washing to keep the color longer and never let it stand in water to prevent colors from running. Finally, cotton has a slightly less good elastic recovery, which means that it can lose its shape.
Linen
Linen is the strongest natural fiber and therefore has a long lifespan. Extra durable therefore. Linen is a pure and plant-based fabric that feels wonderfully airy and comfortable to wear. In addition, linen is also hypoallergenic, ideal for when you suffer from allergies or asthma. However, linen is a crease-sensitive fabric and can stretch up to one size during wear. Always store your linen items hanging up to prevent wrinkles.
Washing and drying
Wash linen fabrics at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius and do not put them in the dryer."
